Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed September 2026. Lodestar Physical Therapy is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.

Conformance Target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced in the HHS Section 504 rule and commonly used to evaluate accessibility under the ADA. Conformance means the content meets the standard, not that any single tool has certified it.

Measures We Take

We built this site with real HTML elements for interactive controls, labeled every form field, added visible keyboard focus indicators, checked color contrast against our brand palette, and made sure animated content still reaches screen readers and still works if a visitor's browser has JavaScript turned off. We test with a keyboard alone and with automated checkers, and we review the site again whenever we add or change a page.

Known Limitations

A few parts of the site rely on services we do not control, so we can only carry accessibility so far on our end:

  • The embedded Google Map on our Visit Us section is Google's own product. We give it a clear, descriptive title, but the map controls inside the frame are Google's to maintain.
  • Our Google review widget is provided by a third party (Elfsight). It loads only after its setup is complete and shows a plain text panel if it can't load, but its internal controls are that vendor's responsibility.
  • Our appointment request form and 30-Second Pain Check are multi-step tools that need JavaScript to move between steps. They are fully operable by keyboard and screen reader with JavaScript running. If your browser blocks JavaScript entirely, please call or email us instead using the information below and we'll get you booked directly.

Ongoing Review

Accessibility is not a one-time fix. We recheck this site whenever we publish new pages or redesign existing ones, and we welcome reports of anything we've missed.
