We find the restricted tissue.
For scar tissue and adhesions that stretching and rest never touch: a targeted release you can feel by the time you leave the room.
What It Is
Under stubborn stiffness there’s often scar tissue: fibers that healed in a tangle after an old injury, a surgery, or years of the same motion. Left alone, it doesn’t just sit there. It tugs on everything around it, the nearby muscles start to guard, and the tight spot slowly spreads.
Graston Technique uses smooth, stainless-steel instruments glided along the skin to find and free those adhesions. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy feels the restricted, gritty spots through the tool and works them directly, so the tissue can slide and move again.
It starts with a cause-first evaluation, never a guess. We find where the restriction actually lives, then treat that exact spot, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, every visit.
Always optional, never sprung on you
What It Helps
You’re the one who fixes things: the house, the schedule, everyone else’s problems. That’s exactly why the stiff spot you’ve worked around for months is the one thing still waiting.

Questions, Answered
You’ll feel firm pressure and some scraping as the tool works over a restricted spot, and it can be tender where the tissue is stuck. It’s brief and stays right on the area we’re treating. A little redness afterward is normal and fades fast. You’re in control the whole time, and it’s always optional.
No. Massage works broadly across muscle to relax it. Graston Technique is targeted: your Doctor of Physical Therapy uses stainless-steel instruments to find and free one specific area of scar tissue or adhesion identified in your evaluation, then retrains it to move.
It depends on your plan, and coverage for instrument-assisted work varies from one insurer to the next. We verify your exact benefits before your first session, so there’s no surprise on your bill. Questions before then? Call us at (385) 743-2757.
