Dr. Isaac Halliday

PT, DPT, BRM
Owner, Physical therapist
Isaac is a Taylorsville native who grew up competing in wrestling, soccer, and baseball, a background that eventually fueled his passion for sports medicine. After graduating from Taylorsville High, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from BYU in 2011 and went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at East Tennessee State University in 2015. In 2020, he founded Lodestar Physical Therapy to bring a personalized, guided approach to recovery to his local community, drawing on his deep roots and his desire to help others move better and live more active lives.

With over 10 years of experience in the field, Isaac has developed a broad clinical perspective by working in diverse settings ranging from hospitals to outpatient sports medicine. He is Barbell Rehab Method Certified, specializing in helping athletes and weightlifters navigate injuries without being forced to step away from the gym. Whether he is working with a patient in acute recovery or helping an athlete return to the field, Isaac utilizes his decade of expertise to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care. Outside of the clinic, he stays true to his Utah roots by hiking and camping with his “Dogtor of Pawsitivity,” Dash.

“I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Isaac professional skills. After suffering a foot injury a year ago, I truly didn’t know if I would ever walk normal again but thanks to his expertise and care, my foot is now functioning again.

What really stood out to me was his deep knowledge of the body, especially the intricate structure of the foot and bones. He took the time to explain what was going on, which gave me confidence and trust in our one-on-one sessions.

I would highly recommend Dr Isaac to anyone with aches & pains, needing physical therapy.”

“I posted a review four years ago, but this is my second time around and it’s definitely time for an update.

Back then, Isaac was a traveling PT who came to my home and helped rehab my left shoulder, getting me back to my normal activities. Unfortunately, I injured my right shoulder last year, and when it wasn’t healing, I knew exactly who to call.

Now he has a brick-and-mortar location with all the equipment you could need, and he’s just as great to work with as he was the first time. What I really appreciate is that he doesn’t do generic exercises—everything is tailored specifically to your body and your needs. He also knows how to push you, which I honestly need, because there are definitely moments when it gets tough and you feel like giving up—but he doesn’t let that happen.

If you’re looking for a generic PT, Lodestar probably isn’t for you. But if you want someone who truly customizes your program and is genuinely great to work with, Isaac is your guy.

Hopefully I don’t get injured again—but if I do, I know exactly where I’m going.”

“Isaac has done wonders with my shoulder! I have had shoulder pain/issues for 5 years off and on and this is the best it has ever been!! I highly recommend Lodestar!”
